I DO NOT support the cancellation of the cap and trade act. With recent reports outlining the dire situation for the earth and our environment, with climate change and the rapid warming of the climate, we must do everything possible to stop, and reverse the warming of the planet.

Ontario must take a lead role in ensuring that carbon emissions are reduced, and alternate energy sources are explored, developed and used.

I believe that a warming Ontario will have drastic and negative consequences for many of the activities and pastimes I, and other Ontarians enjoy, such as fishing, camping, and general enjoyment and appreciation of the outdoors.

Despite having a limited income, I am more than willing to pay more for clean energy sources, that will allow Ontario to do their part in lowering carbon emissions. I also believe that if I am willing to pay more for a clean and healthy environment, then industry must as well.

I believe the cap and trade program sends a strong message to industry, residents and the world that Ontario takes the welfare of their citizens and the world seriously.
Cap and Trade is an effective tool in managing and reducing carbon emissions, and should not be eliminated.

I am very concerned about what kind of world will be left for my children, if we do not reduce our carbon emissions.

Please do not cancel the Cap and Trade act. This is not the time to become lax in our carbon emissions standards. We need firm laws in place to ensure polluters pay. And the current law was effective in ensuring that polluters paid, and allowing for energy efficient upgrades to many public buildings.
