I strongly object to the proposal to allow new licences and the transfer of existing licences for train and trial areas in Ontario. Such practices are cruel to wildlife and represent a huge step backward in creating a compassionate society in Ontario. I would suggest that existing facilities need to be closed ASAP. It's 2023 now - attitudes as well as needs have changed. Not only are such practices deleterious to wildlife, hunting dogs represent a class of animal that is often abandoned by hunters following the hunting season. It's time to make Ontario a more compassionate place by banning such backward practices.
