When I came to live in Canada twenty years ago, I thought I came to a country that respects all forms of life and does its best to protect innocent animals. This proposal just appalled me. It is 2023. We need to start being more humane. We shouldn’t go backwards! Please do the right thing! You know what this is! Make laws to protect animals. Not the other way around. What you are proposing guarantees unimaginable cruelty to those trapped animals. Don’t you see it? It is a terrible practice! Stop it!
