This is upsetting. To believe that climate change is not an urgent matter that needs to be stopped is a denial of science itself. Scientists the world over are currently trying to find the most effective way to communicate our certain doom if we don’t change our ways. And then we have a ‘leader’ who rejects as well as joins other province’s antiquated fights?! I certainly hope no Ontario taxpayer dollars were in any way spent on this waste of time. In fact, I think this raises a concern on whether premiers should be allowed to take part in issues that do not concern their own province. But first and foremost, climate change is real and will destroy any chance at our future generations ability to comfortably enjoy the fruits and luxuries the earth naturally affords us. We should be looking for ways to make a more efficient plan rather than loosening or even abolishing the existing. If not, we can blame our leaders and ourselves for not doing something about it before it’s too late.
