As a dog owner and owner of a small farm in northeastern Ontario, I am appalled to know this type of facility exists in this province. I am even more appalled to think that our government would be considering expanding this type of facility.
In this day and age, trapping a live animal and allowing it to be killed in such an inhumane manner is beyond barbaric. It is no better than allowing dog fighting which is banned.
There is no legitimate reason to expand this practice. In fact, it should be completely phased out!
