I did not realize that we had train and trail areas in Ontario, until it was mentioned on the news last week. I think it is cruel to trap rabbits, foxes and coyotes and put them in a contained area where they can never leave to train dogs for hunting. I don’t understand why (if I understand the Fish and Conservation Act, 1997 correctly), that “a person shall not use a vehicle for the purpose of killing, injuring, capturing, harassing, pursuing or chasing wildlife.” Section 24(1) but dogs are allowed…they are trained in these train and trial areas to harass, pursue, and chase wildlife. (I don’t know if the dogs are allowed to injure or kill the rabbits, foxes and coyotes.)

Even though there is regulation around animal safety (which I couldn’t find), I feel that it would be very difficult to make sure people comply with the regulations at all times.

It was very difficult for me to find out where to provide feedback. Could you please consider making it easier for members of the public to find out where to provide feedback. Thank you.
