I am concerned about how this will affect the animals in the area. I walk Storyland Rd almost everyday and hear the frogs singing and see the beaver and otters. Excavating to this depth will change the water levels in the wet lands and lakes in both the proposed pit land and adjoining area. I am also concerned for our wells, no one can foresee how excavating this deep will affect both the quantity and quality of our well water. I know some of our neighbours have dug wells , this will certainly affect their wells.
