This is a wildly antiquated approach to animal control as well as canine enrichment.
We’ve come away from live animal sports for animals - greyhound racing, fox hunting etc, because of its inhumane consequences for the animals involved.
This would be a significant step back for Canada to allow and let alone support facilities for this purpose.
Please do not move forward with this plan, consider putting the money toward compassionate and collaborative approaches to wildlife control with farm land owners. Excellent examples can be found in Alberta whereby the farmer utilizes human and canine scenting practices to discourage coyote encroachment on their live stock.
Please be the progressive Ontario government we know you can be and do not move forward with this.
