I very strongly believe that this is not only unnecessary but inhumane and that the ministry responsible for the well being of wildlife in this province should never even consider expanding this practice but should shut it down. It seems a complete conflict to have standards of care that could possibly reflect good husbandry in these situations.
In this day and age it is just not appropriate to consider this ‘entertainment’. Using dogs to chase down animals for so called sport is itself an outdated and inhumane practice and to allow it in a canned environment is absolutely barbaric. This is not hunting for food, this is terrorizing animals for our own sense of fun?? Let’s work towards respecting our native wildlife instead.
