I am extremely concerned by plans to cancel the cap and trade policy, unless my government plans to improve it with an even more progressive carbon tax. The IPCC report makes it abundantly clear that we MUST act now on climate change. China has made it clear that countries can create vibrant new economic opportunities through leading in green technologies. We must decarbonize our economy. I am looking forward to learning about what progressive and concerted actions this government plans to take.
