As a Canadian citizen and Ontario resident, I completely disagree with the way the Ontario government is scrapping all environmental initiatives, including cap and trade. We are heading toward a climate disaster, and this should not be a partisan issue - which is exactly what it is currently being made into. This is not about a couple cents off your gas, this is about the fact the world will become unlivable if we continue in our current direction with fossil fuels.
Now is the time to embrace and invest in renewable energy, and continue taxing fossil fuels.
I am deeply saddened that my government is stepping backwards in terms of climate change, and I sincerely hope that members of parliament will see that this is not what Ontarians want.
