In no way should the Cap and Trade program be wound down. We—as a province with a substantial carbon footprint—should be increasing our efforts to fight climate change, as opposed to removing programs in place that would make us less responsible for our greenhouse gas emissions. The environment needs to be our number one priority. No amount of cost-cutting can save us from the consequences of not addressing climate change fully and completely, at all levels of government.
