This legislation does not adequately address the problem of illegal subdivision in unincorporated townships by corporations (such as Boreal Forest Medieval Villages) selling shares in a company and then providing “parcels” of land to the shareholders. This inappropriate use of waterfront in Northern Ontario has already caused damage to local ecosystems and stress on local services. I recommend clear wording being added to clearly state that this type of development is illegal.
