You ask for submissions; but how many public meetings and/or notifications have you had, to ensure all anglers have been made aware of these proposed changes? As with any proposals or changes to regulations put forth, or implemented by the MNRF, will this proposal cover all anglers, or again, will Natives be exempt? I personally believe that the Great Lakes have an issue due to ballast dumping from the ships in the Great Lakes. All other bait issues should be covered by the MNRF controlling the suppliers and shippers of live bait to other jurisdictions. Going after the individual angler, who traps his/her own bait; as well as adding new rules, regulations and costs, is nothing short of ridiculous.
