The latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change warns that it will take "unprecedented political commitment" to keep global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. Big Business must be called on to make sacrifices along with the rest of us, to monitor, control, decrease and be accountable for their input to global warming. Individuals are called on to drive less, make smaller carbon imprints. People are becoming keenly aware and deeply alarmed at this government's apparent dismissal of the crucial importance of saving our future. The facts are there. The volatile weather and resulting destruction are in plain sight. Please take the Panel's report seriously and show the people you serve that profits, while important, do not take precedence over the on-going viability of the environment in which we live and breathe.
