I think it is extremely irresponsible move to repeal cap and trade in Ontario. Given the new climate change report issued by IPCC http://www.ipcc.ch/report/sr15/ and the recent Nobel prize in economics awarded to professors on the topic of sustainable growth https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/08/business/economic-science-nobel-priz… it is imperative that Ontario take action against climate change using the prescribed models that are most effective. Businesses are on board to pay their share. Residents of Ontario are demanding action. Moving forward there can be some improvement on the transparency of disbursement of the taxes collected but there needs to be some economic measure to intervene in the system and change the behaviours of the biggest polluters.
