I have a couple ponds on my property and trap minnows for my own fishing needs as they are better quality than expensive bait store minnows. There are only dace, mud minnows and sticklebacks in the pond. According to this proposal, being in southern Ontario that means I can only use them in the body of water where they were trapped, there are no game fish in this pond . The best places to catch minnows in this area is ponds and creeks. How will I be able to use my minnows for fishing in local lakes and rivers if it becomes illegal to transport them. Hopefully this part of the proposed regulations will be changed because I will not comply with this and I'm sure many other southern Ontario residents wont either.
