I have zero faith that anything that this government does, let alone removing oversight from corporate interests, is for the benefit of the typical ontarian.
Two weeks after the Brenntag fire, the Ford government pitches an idea to eliminate oversight on environmental considerations for waterways. The cleanup of that spill still hasn't even finished.
"Duffin said chunks of sludge, an inch or two deep, floated on the water in August after the fire and rainbow streaks of oil could be seen on the creek. "
We want corporations, who have consistently proven to us that profits outweigh our communal health, to be in charge of their own environmental restrictions? I don't think so.
