Cap and Trade Act should…

Cap and Trade Act should definitely not be cancelled. At this point in time it is something that we desperately need for our future. It provides tons of ways to help the province adapt to climate change. More importantly it shows that as a province Ontario recognizes future risks and and that addressing climate change as soon as possible is a priority. It spreads the message to Ontarians that climate change is something that we need to be thinking about and constantly consider how our actions are a problem and what solutions there are. Also provides a general attitude that wide spread ideology about how human activity is impacting our ecosystems and our future. Lots of room for education and outreach in this aspect. The use of cap and trade profits to be reinvested into climate change mitigation and adaptation programs is crucial to promoting behaviour changes changing the attitude towards this piece of legislation.
