I appreciate that the government ultimately abided by the will of the people. I also think it is unfortunate that the provincial government saw fit to spend such an exorbitant amount of time, resources, money, and public attention on an unpopular and impractical way of resolving the housing crisis. We need to look to other models to make our infrastructure go further, like densification. This will allow us to sustain our existing infrastructure, which is already straining and failing. Building more new infrastructure when we struggle to maintain existing infrastructure is exactly what we do not need.
