I strongly urge that the government continue the Cap and Trade agreement or, if that is not possible, that you sign on to the federal government's carbon tax. The recent UN report made clear the urgency of addressing climate change and leading experts, including a Nobel Prize winning economist, have determined that a carbon tax is the most effective way of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. I may not live long enough to experience the worst effects of climate change, although with the floods and other more extreme extreme weather it has definitely started. I fear for my children and grandchildren and all other Ontarians and what the life will be like for them unless action is taken quickly.
