We need all of the renewable enery we can generate, as quickly as possible. Do not change the Renewable Energy Approvals Regulation.
We are barrelling towards climate catastrophe unless we can completely decarbonize energy production before 2030. To have any chance of limiting the warming of the average global temperature to less than 1.5C above preindustrial levels, we will have to electrify every sector we can, including transportation, home heating and cooling, and lower-temperature industrial processes. We will need all of the renewable energy we can produce, and forcing more than 700 projects that have already been approved to start the whole process again is ludicrous!
For the good of the people of Ontario, Canada, and the world, do not change the Renewable Energy Approvals Regulation!
