I want legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement. We need to work towards reducing climate change for years to come, not scrap the only bill that we have that helps in doing so. The Canada of tomorrow is progressive, allowing for growth and development in the areas of renewable energy and reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, not pushing these things aside in order to save money. I know that saving money is everyone's goal and it should be so we can live our best lives, but if we never invest even a little in innovative ways to slow climate change, we risk future generations' ability to live their best lives. Repealing the Climate Change Mitigation and Low-carbon Economy Act, 2016, only pushes us back in the fight against climate change.
