Ontario is losing an opportunity to be a climate leader. This wrongheaded, backward bill will end up costing the taxpayers much, much more over time. We can externalize the costs of pollution for a time, but eventually they will be realized via natural disasters in Ontario and abroad, along with associated climate-based migration.
As a fiscal conservative, I am very disappointed in the PC party, and I urge our MPPs to consider the burden, monetary and otherwise, that they are leaving for our children and grandchildren.
