This proposed landfill site…

This proposed landfill site will be just 1km outside of Dresden will have a major impact on this sought after beautiful farming community of Dresden. I raise my family in this community and I am also a realtor in Dresden and this will not only impact the health and well being of the residents, but also the major impact it will have on the prices of homes in the community. There is a brand new subdivision in Dresden just 1km away from the site, and now people are calling me saying that they will no longer be purchasing a new home in Dresden because of the dump coming. The people of Dresden do not want hundreds of trucks going by our town and dumping every time of waste known to man in our town. This dump will literally be in the backyard of our home, we will be looking at it everyday while watching our daughters playing in the backyard. I am extremely concerned about the long term health effects of my children and our community. I am extremely concerned about all the endangered species habitats that you will be ruining, the contamination of our waterways and the bald eagles nest that is right in the vicinity of the proposed dump. Of all the places you could choose to make a dump, you choose to put it 1km from a town with 3000 people, 2 schools, medical centres, grocery stores, Sydenham River etc.
This will be a disgrace to our community. Go find a place in the middle of nowhere where there are no people, homes, rivers or trees to dump your garbage on. Not a single resident of Dresden is in favour of this proposed dump..go somewhere else!!
