I’m sure no one will really read this comment anyways, but the thought of this coming to my town is something that is causing loss of sleep and much stress to most of my neighbours and community people.
Dresden is not the place for a mega dump. This location is 1 km from the town of Dresden. Find a location that does not have over 3000 people living within a 3 km radius. Not to mention having a creek that runs into the Sydenham River. This location is no where near any major highways, therefore hundreds of trucks will be travelling country roads that are already in rough shape. Transports bouncing through our small town 24 hours a day 7 days a weeks is unimaginable.
The corruption that I see regarding York1 lying and making promises to gain this land, part of which already held the landfill status on a small portion, even though it has been dormant for decades, is disgusting. Let me ask you, if your home was 150 meters from this proposed site, would you not do anything possible to prevent this from happening? Have you ever been to Dresden? It’s really pretty amazing.
