I fear for my children’s safety with these aggressive proposals. The municipality is not equipped for the damage to our roads and infrastructure, nor do we have the means to process the waste water. This landfill would be within a 2 km range of not one but two schools with hundreds of trucks carrying waste of all kinds right through our town centre. The environmental risk posed to our wells and the Sydenham River should be enough for the provincial government to step in, and if not, the risk to the health of Dresden’s people.
