This is ludicrous! The site has been dormant for over 30 years, it is NOT a landfill, it was used to bury ash from the incinerator. The site was then used for wood, pallets were ground into wood chips. They are making it sound as if garbage is buried there. The site is only 1km from town, too close. There is a school within 1km, there is a cemetery .66 km from the property, there are. 83 endangered species in the area, there is a creek/pond/marsh on the property, air pollution, noise pollution, the traffic on our roads all year especially harvest season is unacceptable farm machinery is slow them add in up to 700 trucks a day (yes, with the increase in tonnage the trucks increase too, it is in a floodplain 🚩 Why is this not being put in a safe location, closer to the 401 so that our roads aren’t being ruined, why are we expected to take Toronto’s garbage put it in their backyard! Why is this proposal being changed or a new added three times now. You are supposed to protect the environment, why is this even in discussion?????? We deserve more! Your own site states that under 3km from a town can cause adverse effects, this needs to be 3.5km away!!!!
