Bill 162 is one of the most ruinous pieces of legislation yet proposed by the government of Ontario and must be reviewed with intense concern for the future of our province.

Protecting groundwater sourcing is vital to the future. To propose laws and regulations that weaken the protection of these irreplaceable natural assets is catastrophically shortsighted. Eroding already minimal environmental protections flies in the face of the globally recognized climate crisis.

As a resident of this province, I protests, in the strongest possible terms, the enactment of Bill 162, which represents the government's cavalier disregard for the inescapable consequences of irresponsible environmental management."
