This proposal from York 1…

This proposal from York 1 zoning does not make sense at all for our nearby town

This site was not a huge landfill that was used by cities. This was a small area for incinerated ash and a small amount of commercial local waste that was buried. Nothing was brought in or out from any other town or city than our own! It was for Dresden residents use only,and over 40+ years ago this town was even much smaller than it is now , Why would York1 be allowed to disturb this.

How does York 1 not need different documentation in rezoning laws as it isn’t anywhere near the same proposal as what was once there when the zoning was approved. How does York 1 have the power to pass this proposal without any environmental assessment or the ministry or government looking into exactly what they are planning overall. Dresden understands what they are planning and it isn’t what they are presenting as this clean, safe recycling landfill. I hope someone sees beyond their smoke screen before we are the largest dump in the province !

Dresden residents do NOT and will NEVER welcome York 1 into our community. York 1 should have to play by the rules and not use our towns OLD dormant site for a mega eye sore that is going to cause endless safety issues for everyone who lives so close to this.

I have heard many residents say they haven’t been able to concentrate or even sleep since hearing this is even a possibility because it just sounds so absurd. Home buyers are already backing out of buying homes when they moved here to be away from the city and the noise and traffic. Dresden was ideal as it is small, quiet and full of parks and our waterways.

We are against York 1. The thought York 1s landfill / dump is still being considered comsidering the risks to our families and safety of our water, land and environmental species is so so disheartening.

Please help Dresden stay viable. This would be the end of our community.
