I am sickened at the thought…

I am sickened at the thought of the Ministry not requiring a full environmental assessment. You are going to consult the public with another proposal!!! What on earth makes anyone think that it is alright to put a megadump under 1 km from schools and an entire town full of people. A megadump is the end plan, according to York1’s own landfill specialist at their information session. After questioning for a long time, he admitted once they utilize all the properties they have purchased, it will indeed be a megadump. He also admitted that there could be municipal garbage eventually. This is beyond comprehensible. How can you possibly think this is ok. There seems to be something very suspicious happening here. If anyone tried to use a permit that was 40 years old, for any other purpose, it would not happen. Are you that desperate for landfills that you will put an entire town, small children, endangered species, the aquifer, the Sydenham River, St Clair River, Lake St.Clair, a natural spring, and drainage ditches for local farmland at risk.
Who is going to grow food for humans once you allow all the rich farmland to be turned into landfills?? How many mega dumps does one municipality have to endure?? You have already forced the Ridge landfill on Chatham Kent. We are NOT a wasteland for the GTA!!!! These large cities need to keep their garbage in their own municipalities!!!! This is mental and physical abuse of the citizens of Dresden and surrounding areas. I cannot believe this has gotten as far as it has. There seems to be some very sneaky business going on and our lives are at risk. This is barbaric to treat tax paying citizens with such disregard. What on earth has happened to the ministry of environment and the protection it provided?? Who is profiting from this corruption? Why are they not incinerating at high temperatures instead of burying garbage where we grow food and rely on fresh drinking water. The truth will come out. It is starting to unravel already.
