Dresden residents want York…

Dresden residents want York 1s proposal for an immeasurable recycling facility rejected ,or at least have extensive environmental assessments obtained.

This site will be adjacent to our town less than 1 km away. GTA garbage will be brought to our community along with all the health risks it it would bring to our families who live here.

This is an OLD historical dormant site with an OLD zoning designation that surely can’t be used for this eventual immense structure that will devastate everything we have here. Safety wise and health wise.

The information we have been given from York 1 has been misleading and Dresden does not want this dump next door.

Our town has significant safety concerns regarding traffic,contamination of soil,endangering our ecosystem,migration of bird patterns disruption,leachate,noise,methane gas,air quality,and all the garbage and pollution that York 1 will bring right in close proximity to our homes.

People are already backing out of buying and building houses here because of the long term health threats! No one will invest here or stay. This will threaten everyone’s future and their children’s. You cannot trust what York 1 says won’t happen. Ask anyone who lives in Hinkley California which is now a ghost town from cover ups.

It is not morally justified that Dresden can be used for the GTA to overthrow our wishes and be put at risk for their gain.

Please help Dresden stay as we are. We want our children to grow up safe and enjoy the towns heritage and local support, which doesn’t include a mega dump.

Dresden does not want to gamble their lives on a company that doesn’t care about us or our safety, and it is proven in how this site was obtained and how it is going forward without the whole towns support !!!
