I am not in support of the Ford government to overrule the decisions of the OEB. It has an extremely important role in government accountability and ensuring oversight in decisions about Ontario’s energy. This proposal overrides that. I want the government to stop this undemocratic amendment. This will help keep our energy costs down and ensure more sustainable energy decisions in future. We should be transitioning off natural gas heating and encouraging use of heat-pumps and other electricity-based heating options. We should not be locking in natural gas infrastructure until 2065. I want our government to take the climate crisis seriously. Please stop supporting natural gas expansion now!
