For Minor Variance applications, the legislation and the required reporting data do not require 'deemed complete' date.
As with all development applications, given that applicants often submit incomplete applications, this metric should be added so that the province is provided accurate information with respect to processing times for minor variance applications. Without this metric, the data may present that municipalities cannot meet statutory timeframes when in fact this is not the case.
Once an application is complete, processing begins, which should trigger the 30-day requirement for a decision.
