To the one or two…

To the one or two conservatives who haven't yet sold their souls to big Oil and big Coal:

Please do not proceed with this repeal. Doug Ford likes to call this Cap and Trade program a Carbon Tax but it should be called a Pollution Tax and companies who pollute should pay.

Individuals and companies who pollute must pay to do so. Otherwise, there is no incentive in the decision making process other than capital gain. Why would any company invest in upgrades that bring them no financial (but plenty of environmental) benefit?
With Cap and Trade, the government can monitor and officiate the amount of pollution the province creates.

Remember smog? The coal fired plants are gone, and so is the smog. Remember "smog advisory"? We simply do not see that anymore.

When you consider how much money is given to the Oil and Gas sectors, the renewable energy sector pales in comparison.

History will not look kindly on those who slow its progress.
