I strongly agree with this proposed regulation 019-8417 to have York1 project subject to Part II.3 - requirement to complete a comprehensive environmental impact assessment.
As a person living along the Sydenham River west of Dresden, I am alarmed by the proposed waste disposal site and the possible impacts of leachate, hazardous run off and airborne particulate settling into the river.
For years we have fostered the growth of natural habitat flora in order to support the wildlife of the river. We have watched turtles, muskrats and ducks, etc. live and prosper. I feel that to endanger them, as fragile as some of species are at this time, would be not only irresponsible but could be outright disastrous.
Please consider acceptance of this proposed regulation with all haste. Require York1 to complete a comprehensive environmental assessment. Designate this project by regulation and protect our watershed.
