I am extremely concerned that such a big project is not following all the proper planning steps.
We need an environmental study. We need a traffic study. These are minimum studies that are required before a project of this size is considered. This is not a single family home. This 4 large high rise towers that will completely change the nature and intensity of the area.
First of all, this is a commercial/industrial area, not a residential one. Moreover the project is not on a major public transit route. Therefore you will be bringing thousands of additional cars into this area.
There already exists a significant amount of land along Highway 7, which is a major public transit route,
that has already been zoned and or designated for high rise construction. We do not need this project at Lanstaff.
There is only one gas station on Langstaff from Islington Ave to Creditstone and it is on the opposite (north) side of the road. This proposal will eliminate the only service station on the south side.
