I regularly visit the Pretty…

I regularly visit the Pretty River Provincial Park to hike or snowshoe, by myself, or with family and friends. It is my go-to place to bring out-of-town visitors too. I have been very concerned about possible plans to build homes on land surrounding the park and the negative impact that would have. I fully support the Ontario Government's proposal to extend the park and expand the protected areas surrounding Pretty River Provincial Park. Although I live in Collingwood, fairly close to this park, I have encountered people in the park who are visiting from across the province.

I may not have visited or used all the other protected areas of land the Government is also considering expanding, but, I believe it is important to preserve and protect as much of these environmentally sensitive areas as possible. If these unprotected lands are developed, we will not be able to undo the damage at a later date.
