I can appreciate the need…

I can appreciate the need for housing but we are throwing away all standard towards building a sustainable city and community. These proposed changes do not take into account any requirements for soft landscaping and trees - let alone existing mature trees.

This shows no understanding about the need to prepare for climate change; build climate resiliency; mitigate air pollution; mitigate heat islands and create healthy urban environments by growing our tree canopy. This proposing to turn Toronto into a concrete jungle.

Our government is jumping in to rush housing without any forethought. I oppose this proposal.
