Since the bike lanes have been available I have been able to ride my tricycle a lot more safely. I have a disability and my tricycle is my way of exercising and staying active. Before the bike lanes I would ride on the sidewalk where I would often receive verbal abuse. Taking away Bike lanes at a high financial cost seems backwards thinking. The lanes have improved accessibility for people like myself and for people who care about the environment or simply cannot afford to run a car.
