I could see the benefit of gathering data on this because we need various forms of transportation. Having said this, cities in Ontario are already built around accommodating for vehicles and this seems like a step backwards for progress toward sustainable transportation. It seems from the existing literature that this will accomplish the opposite of the goal of reducing congestion.
