This is a harmful policy that will harm the environment, lead to more congested roads and stall progress for bureaucracy that is added simply to cause friction.
1. Municipal roads should be the responsibility of the municipality, not Ontario.
2. Bike lanes provide a quick and easy way for people to get around. Especially with the explosion of delivery drivers on bikes and the surging popularity of e-bikes and other electronically assisted personal transportation bike lanes are providing a space and environmentally efficient way to get around that quite likely can sustain more traffic than single-occupancy slow-moving cars.
3. Bypassing environmental reviews of major construction projects is irresponsible and dangerous.
