As a Toronto resident of M4E2J3, it's astounding how a piece of legislation could be so utterly backwards. Bike lanes are an essential part of the traffic system. They provide safety for cyclists from cars while giving pedestrians full access to walkways; they relieve traffic tensions from vehicles needing to avoid slower moving travellers; they provide a simple means of transporting short distances within the city, which reduces the overall number of vehicles in the downtown core; and in full saturation provide greater traffic density and overall speeds.

How you have been able to draft something so unbelievably ill-conceived and misrepresented I can only hope is the result of a staggering amount of stupidity and not the sheer malice and contempt it would otherwise require.

This is to say nothing of the anti-environment regulations that are trying to be slipped through for a disastrous 413 project. Do it right or not at all.

Should you require more information on the topic of bike access in traffic, please see every study conducted in the last 50 years and most of Europe.
