The Cap and Trade…

The Cap and Trade Cancellation Act does not consider the long term impacts it would have on our environment. As a young woman hoping to soon start a family I am deeply concerned by how short sighted this plan is, I would hope that the current provincial government is capable of acting in the best interest of both it’s current and future citizens. If this Act were to pass it would negatively impact all Ontarians. And I, for one, do not think the short term financial benefits are worth the long term costs that would be paid as a result of this Act. It is appalling how politicized environmental issues have become. These are issues that have the potential to be fixed, if only we could all work together. It is my hope that we can move beyond the politics of this issue and simply do what is best for us all, which starts with getting rid of this Act.
