I live very close to this site and worry about the impact of the local residents as well as the trailer park and two prominent business in the immediate area.
There are two very successful business within the tourism industry that are both under 2km north from this proposed site. With predominantly south winds In our area the smell of this proposed site will impact their livelihood and guest experience. Many of these customers are from areas outside of our township and in turn spend their money at associated business when they travel to enjoy the amenities offered.
On another note the elevation and proximity to the Sydenham river are of large concern to many of the residents in the area. As someone living in the Sydenham water shed (within a 100m) I am concerned with what mitigation efforts will be employed to ensure run off from this proposed facility does not enter the Sydenham River and associated ecosystems.
This company’s track record with biosolid storage is already in question with their previous site having several issues and was in turned fined for violating Warwick Township zoning bylaws. With this previous history of mismanagement how can we be certain in the future that this site will not be the same.
