This is a completely regressive bill that will undue years of work and advocacy by the cycling community in Toronto. Bike lanes are an integral part of city infrastructure that thousands of people rely on each day to commute safely to work. Further, bike lanes do not in fact increase congestion. This bill will endanger cyclists and increase congestion, as cyclist will have to take up a lane of traffic instead of a bike lane.
