This is extremely disappointing and a colossal waste of taxpayer money. Toronto has the opportunity to continue improving its city infrastructure by building and completing more bike lane projects. The government of Ontario (Doug Ford) should NOT be interfering with the progress that has been made.
I have been impressed with Doug Ford throughout the pandemic, and I feel that he is a man for the people. However, this has completely soured my impression of him.
Optically, this appears to be a move to appease individuals who may vote in his favour. This proposal is selfish, and it fails to consider the safety of everybody on the road.
