Bike lanes are an integral part of making streets safer. I bike regularly as my main form of transportation with my children in tow and am grateful for every bike lane. This vilification of bike lanes and not taking the larger issues of poor urban planning into play, looks exactly what it… political scapegoating. This feels stupid and petty and I think the Ford government should stop trying to stoke culture wars. You’re obviously going to win the next election… so playing some kind “war on cars” nonsense seems really unnecessary. why not at least to govern for everyone and not just for folks who live as you do.
