Bill 212 would cause more harm than benefit, and set back Toronto's goal of having an actual network of bike lanes that people can use for leisure or commuting.
Looking at the Netherlands, for example, it took decades to establish a full network. But now that it exists, large numbers of people in the Netherlands (including tourists) use bikes as one of their modes of transportation. Toronto should move in that direction, and Ontario should facilitate it too.
