I do not believe the White Pines project should be wound down. The idea is criminally wasteful. Resources used to manufacture and erect the turbines will be lost forever without having their use mitigated by power generation, and a source of renewable energy that was nearly online will be destroyed. I have seen absolutely no convincing arguments about how this is an environmentally or fiscally responsible action by the government of Ontario.
